Youth and Sports Minister, Atty. Cornelia Kruah, has taken her “Decentralization Tour” to Bong County, where she outlined key opportunities for young people.

Speaking in Gbarnga, at the Youth Center, Minister Kruah announced that the National Cadet Program has been extended from three to six months to improve performance and increase employment opportunities.

She disclosed that Bong County will receive 83 cadet slots, with recruitment ending April 20. She also revealed a plan to deploy cadets to public institutions, and the Ministry will cover stipends for six months.

Additionally, each of Liberia’s 15 counties will benefit from a $10,000 scholarship fund, with Bong expected to receive around 100 scholarships.

As part of the tour, Minister Kruah visited Lower Bong County, including the Tumutu Agriculture Vocational Training Center, where she engaged with staff as part of efforts to reopen the TUMUTU and to strengthen her decentralized development programs.
